03 Ford Expedition XLT
4.6L


Just finished the plug & COP replacements. However, during that a few of the hoses are brittle or rotting, after all it is 14 years old.

So, what this broken line called coming off the bottom of the evap purge valve is called or where to get a replacement?

you may be able to pull the old piece out of the connector and push the line on if you have enough

not sure of the proper name for it

I replaced mine with a piece of gas line (new, not used) that I had laying around. The old line was slowly turning to powder and had a 3 inch long slit along it. Was getting sporadic codes indicating left or right bank lean condition (P0171 & 0174??) and one indicating evap control could not be completed. It slipped on to the connectors at the valve and the manifold tightly. Don't remember what size it was (5/16??), and could reuse the connectors.
