Whistling sound from engine

Hey guy,
I have a 2003 Expo 5.4 Eddie Bauer. When it is below 30 degrees out there is a loud whistling noise from the engine. Any suggestions on what this is and how I can fix it?

power steering pump maybe. mine makes a whine and thats what i was told

My suburban did that it was the gasket under the throttle body...Get some wd40 and spray around and see if it goes away...easy way to see what it might be...

i have the same issue from 1500-2200 rpm. i still have the used car dealer warranty, so they were troubleshooting it.
they replaced the whole air intake, still had the whistle. they just replaced the egr, still have the whistle but not as loud.
there are threads about the alternator pulley making the noise, so i just ordered one from rockauto.com for $17. hopefully that will fix the problem.
