wont turn off please help

OK new to this forumn names josh
Just bought 2000 expedition limited 5.4 last week.

I park turn ignition off pull key out and veichle stays running and keeps runing till u open the passengers door.
Dosent do it all the time more randomly.

Never ran into this before thought id ask the experts to see if this is normal or if anyone has raninto it before

check you windshield for leaks water might be getting into the fuse box and shorting someting

1- does it have a alarm system factory or after market...2- with that alarm does it have a remote start? almost sound like the remote start may be causing your problem.

Actually sounds like a short between the power wire for the ignition system and the maintaining circuit to keep the radio going until the door is opened. But, like was mentioned, if you notice this happening more after it rains or getting the truck washed, then I would be looking at a leaking windshield, which is then getting the GEM module wet and leading to all sorts of oddities.
