I've searched to great lengths, and cannot find a wiring diagram or schematic, specifically to match the wires of the audio system for my 97. What I have is a stock head unit with a factory amp deep in the dash. This is supposedly a "Premium" system, with no subwoofer. It has the cassette that won't recognize tapes.The radio reception is horrible. The console/storage mounted 6 disc changer skips a lot.
I have a cheap aftermarket unit that came with the truck, and a harness adapter that has half the wires on one of the plugs...only 8 wires that are going to speakers.
Is there a schematic or wiring diagram available that can help me to sort out the "not needed" cd player wires, AND, still wire in the factory amp?
