Hey guys... do we have positive ground or negative ground...
Installing a CB, and need to know. Also... Where have you guys installed your CB's in your Expys?

Ther paperwork that came with the CB suggested that most modern vehicles ran positive ground... Just wondered...

some dodge/chryslers from 90s/00s did run positive grounds.

I'm not sure if that is completely accurate, if you could be more specific, I learn something new every day.
I am under the impression that when Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth changed from 6v to 12v in the early 1950's they went to a negative ground electrical system.

i know we run into this when we install Boss plows on mid 90s up to '02 ram 2500s at work. they have some wacky stuff with positives and grounds. a number of things have to be wired backwards in order for it to work. i would have to look through our TSBs and service manual to find out the exact differences as i have not put one on a old dodge in the last few months.

Wow thanks guys. I have opted for a newer unit! Nice placement Walnuts. I am going to copy your firestik mount! Is that the door jam mount from them?
