I was going through my garage and came across some leftover parts that I have from projects and campaigns that I accumulate from work. One thing that I have noticed with the Expedition is the lack of being able to simply attach to the battery for jump/charge points. The terminals are rather recessed and with either the BMS on the negative taking space or very little to grab stud wise on the positive. From my experience, German cars in general tend to have dedicated jump points by means of studs, and I happen to have a few extras.

I found a ground strap that goes directly from the negative to the body near the washer bottle that looked like it would provide a suitable solution. I found that this bolt holding this ground strap was an M6x1, so I went a got a double threaded stud (M6x30) off of Amazon since I couldn't find it locally - Here. I took the ground stud I had and tightened over the strap and now I have a solid ground point to clamp to in case of a jump. Quick and easy it provides a great solution.

This stud also works well with the threaded stud on top of the positive terminal, but I left that off for now as it impedes the rubber cover.

The PN for the stud I used is a BMW item that can be found on the web for a few bucks - 07149227473.
