Hi I am from Stillwater Ok and just bought my 2nd Expy. Here are a few pictures.

Yes it's 98 with a 5.4 and 128,680 yes and it has roof racks. I need to find a owners manual so I know how to work the 4WD system.

Haha I meant that you can tell a 97 from a 98 by the roof racks. 98's have shorter ones because the 97's could not fit into a standard garage. 128k!?! If only i had that much life still in mine...

What are your questions regarding the 4WD? You can switch between A4WD, 2H, and 4H at any speed up to like 50 mph, though i do usually come to a stop before shifting into 4H just to be safe. 4L, you need to come to a complete stop and put it in neutral. Wait for the clunk, and then you are good. For 95% of the time, A4WD works awesome.

Thats what I do for most of the year except in the winter. They seem to get a little better gas mileage in 2wd.
