Does anyone have a diagram on how to remove the drivers side door panel? I want to clean the window regulator and what not to make sure its going up and down the best it can because this morning it wouldn't go up without assistance.

Thank you!

*edit* actually I figured that out, what should I clean? The pulley and lube the cables and make sure the sliders are lubed as well? I am thinking about removing the weather stripping and cleaning that as well.

*edit 2* This thing looks like a hot mess, where exactly should I clean?

Alright a little update.

It took me about an hour and a half or so to do everything last night. I took off the door panel and was met by dust cover or whatever you want to call it that I have never seen before. It was made out of a rubber substance and was glued to the door so I had to take a razor knife and cut it off. After that I powered the window up and down a few times to see if there was anywhere it was binding.

I saw that there was no lube on the tracks at all, just a little left at the very bottom of the track so I used a combination of white lithium grease and silicone spray after I cleaned the tracks with some WD-40 and a cloth. After doing this I still was not happy with the results so I took the weather stripping off and cleaned that out and applied silicone spray to the inside, while do that I was able to gain access to the other side (inner side) of the tracks and realize that they were in even worse shape than the other side so I did the same process as I did on the other side the only difference is that I lubed the pulley wheel as well.

I also noticed the amount of play the motor had when going up, so I tightened all the torx heads (3 of them) and it resulted in zero play in the motor, one screw was almost the entire way out.

After reassembling the door I dare say its almost fast going up and down and no more creaking. Ill see how long this lasts, I think I might need a little heavier duty lubricant on the tracks than what I put on, maybe some sort of heavy grease like what was on it.

If anyone has any questions about the process just let me know.

Was your window going up real slow? Cause that's what mine is doing and was thinking of ordering a new motor for it.

Yes it was really slow (ever since we purchased it used a year ago) but in the winter it would not go up without being helped up with your hand and most recently we have had a lot of rain here in Michigan and its been very humid and the window would make some awful noises going up and down and when you would try to make it go back up it would go really really slow then stop, then you would have to it the up button again then it would go another few inches then stop then nothing you would have to wait for it to cool down or something and then it would go all the way up.

But like I said I cleaned everything and made a short video of the window operation now. Please excuse the messy window, it still has some leftover lubricant on it.

Mines doing the same. It seems like on the way up its going to die. I recently added vent visors on the windows and they are the in window channel ones. All the windows in the truck have no problem rolling up except the driver door. Not it goes up and pretty much stops before it hits the top. Then I have to wait and try a gain a few minutes later. Looks much better now though! I'm a try opening mine up this weekend to see what's up.
