I have a 1998 Expedition with the torsion bars turnes up and bilstien 1"lift springs in the rear. It sits up real high right now and I need to get bigger tires to fill it up. Can I use 35's or do I need to stick with 33's.

I'm running 33/12.5 on 16.5x10 wheels. Thinking the same thing. Guy at Les Schwab told me I would need a 4 to 6 inch lift to go to 35's. He said the 35's would rub when you turn. I've got the same small lift. I would like to hear more opinions. Thanks.

I don't think it needs a 4 or 6 inch lift for 35's. I wish someone I knew had a set of 35's to try and Id test some before I spent all the money for them.

To run 35's you would need a body lift. I have 35's on my 02 and they wouldn't clear without the body lift.

On other forums i have seen other expeditions run 315/70/17 tires with the torsion bars raised two inches and rear spring spacers

I have a 98 Expy and I almost bought some BFG tko 315 70 17's for it. I have no lift what so ever. Man I was really hoping I could fit those tires without a lift.

If I ever need lift springs for this thing in the future, where do I get them? Figure I'll tweak the bars in the front.
