I recently purchased a 2008 Limited Expedition with the HD tow package. This does not include an electronic brake controller does it? I'm assuming that I would have to purchase this seperate.

You will need to purchase a Teknosha Prodigy or P3 to control the brakes on your trailer. Don't settle for anything less. These have full electronic proportional control and don't need constant fiddling.

Either plugs in under the dashboard.

All ya gotta do if find a place to mount the control.

Prodigy (Velcroed to the dash):

P3 (attached with an existing dash bolt):

I'm currently using the P3, the Prodigy didn't want to stick to the dashboard.

Both are electronically identical in function.

Here's what we routinely tow. The Prodigy or P3 brings this critter to a stop without and drama. City or country road speeds make no difference, the controller sensed decelleration and applies the right amount of brake force (after a 3 minute setup).
