Hi guys I just replaced my chrome side moldings on my Expy and wanted to show you guys the pics. Pep Boys sells some 1 3/8 inch 3M chrome molding for $15.99 for a 8ft roll! Its slightly wider than the factory trim, but it fits within the molding with a little pushing. Comes with 3M backing so installation is a breeze! You will need to buy two packs to replace all four moldings but for a little over $35 you cant beat it!!

Looks much better!! I need to do the same thing. Did you put the new trim right over the old trim? How did you prep the area for the new stuff?

Great idea! I never thought of doing that. I've tried using the 'chrome' spray paint to touch it up, but that didn't work well. I was honestly getting ready to throw mine side molding off, but I might give this a shot now that I see how well it worked. Once again, good job and thanks for sharing!

Hey guys thanks for the compliments. I actually pulled the old molding off and scraped off any remaining backing with a flat head screwdriver. Then I cleaned the area real good with some cleaner to remove all the dirt and road grime that had built up over the years and let it dry. Once dry, its simple as cutting the molding to the length of the old molding and pressing it in place. Very easy install!
