you can get an XLT with leather...the factory sound system is garbage...the leather seats arent leather at all...theyre vynil...and you can buy the console and install it...

for better sound...just replace your speakers with aftermarket speakers...nothing expensive...i originally put kicker in my doors for $70 a set front/back...drastically improved the sound...but u can always take it up a notch by adding a small amp to them to increase the sound even more...again...nothing exspensive...i buy my audio on ebay and get good product...

everything in a EB...can be had in the XLT...seen it

I like the look of the EB anyhow and it has the options I'm looking for. i can buy the center console but I have the bench seat so I'd have to get the pass bucket seat and it still may not fit right because the dash is slightly different. It isn't just the speakers. They are getting driven by the deck which is just 50w per channel (jvc unit) and I don't feel like wiring in an amp and sub and installing better speakers.

the EB doesnt get any better with the sound...i wish had pics of the speakers when i took them out...theyre garbage...the factory sub is garbage...so for any sound improvement u are forced to swap speakers...then sound is improved...as i said...if u want to take it up a notch then amp them but u dont have to...just suggestions but u have a lot more going then just sound...

The upgraded sound system is fine for me. I've got it in all my other vehicles. I don't want to spend the time/money on it seeing how it's not my main car. I really don't have a main car I drive. The problem with just adding an amp is I would either need new speakers or try and eliminate the high pass filter that they appear to have on these speakers.

Picked up a new grill from the local classifieds, the one on my ex was cracked when I bought it and had a piece missing the size of a Bottle cap, which bothered me to no end. I picked up a cloud rider grill insert from the junk yard from an f150 previously and it never fit right because of the difference in the expedition and f150 grill pattern.

The new grill was from an f150 and the cloud rider insert fit properly so I was very happy with the final look after plasti dipping the grill flat black.

Got a new Duracell battery for the ex, 875 cold cranking amps and a5 year warranty 3 years total replacement 2 years pro rated.

Also the battery hold down nut and bolt were rusted together and worse yet the nut broke free from the spot where it was held, so it was impossible to loosen. I cut the bolt and bought a new battery holder kit and the new battery is nice and secure, finally after 9 months of ownership no more loose battery!

I gave the Big Girl a bath and vacuumed out the interior, also changed the filters in the ventilated seats. I was surprised how dirty the drivers side was..... Those little filters are pricey too!

Hit 150k this past weekend - oil and fuel filter change and maybe a "Winter Wax" is on the "To-do" list for this long weekend.

Pics dont do any justice at all. I have piaas, hid offroad lamps and a 3ft led light bar on my heep. This thing rivals it.

I went to fit my billet grille but it doesnt fit......its to fit a f150..i thought same thing. But nope . It fits my buddies 01 f150 with a honeycomb style grille. What do i need to swap to make this work?

I think your best bet now would be to find an f150 grill and swap it onto your vehicle that's what I did when I picked up a cloud rider grill insert from the junk yard

Traded her in. I traded in the '03 Expy for an '05 Colorado. They gave me $7200 for the '03, with 150,000 I thought that wasn't too bad. I got a new job a few months ago and with a lot of driving, hopefully can get some better gas mileage. After lowering it and putting the 22's on it I was lucky to get 14mpg. If I can get 20 on the highway I'll be thrilled. I still have the '98 so I'll still get on here occasionally.

Here's what I got rid of.

Just the insert or whole assembly with headlamp surrounds?

I have to say I loved my Expy. And so far I have really liked the Colorado. I've already tinted the tails, debadged, tinted the windows, installed a Pioneer Avic-5000NEX and a remote start/keyless entry/alarm. I've been really impressed so far. And I love the improvement in gas mileage. Plus, I couldn't turn down $7200 for my truck, it was nice but starting to have issues that could potentially be costly. I still have the '98 Expy so I'm not totally out of it, it was just time to get rid of mine.

I got the whole grill including the headlight surrounds, you could probably get away with just the insert but if you are going to the junk yard you might as well take the whole grill

Cleaned her up and took the family to the beach for the day, my daughter got to feel sand on her feet for the first time and see the water, she just turned 7 months.

with all the work I've done to the expedition it provided the nicest ride you could ask with both ac zones cranked I couldn't believe the milage increase I got from my recent overhaul I was really happy

Took her to work today. There are some engine brackets (not the mounts) I should install eventually.
