Got my light bar mounted and now when I get 50 mph + it makes a soft vibration .
Does anyone know how to stop the vibration ??

I'm assuming the vibration is caused by how the wind funnels around or under the light bar..

Thanks for any advice9189c84730b9d51416b36378e90d3042.jpg

Put some double sided tape under the bracket, it should reduce the vibration a bit.

1)Remount the bar farther back on the roofline so that it isn't getting blown from the wind coming off the windshield.
2) Add a center support to the bar to reduce the harmonics/buffeting if you don't relocate it.
3) Add stiffer brackets if the bar is rigid. Mount with some type of insulator to soak up the harmonics.

Relocating the bar higher up is a thought but I prefer the visor look.
And I was pondering on the thought of adding a center support brace out of rubber to absorb/ stop the vibration.

After further driving I got the vibrations narrowed down between 48 to 60 mph is only when it does the vibration.
Thanks for your advice I think I'm going to try the center brace ..

No, between the mounts and the roof
I didn't use the roof mounts that came with the light bar .I used door jam mounts.
But I noticed that the roof mounts that came with the light bar did come with rubber grommets that goes between the mounts and the roof. But definitely makes sense now.
But with me going the door jam method maybe I can find some thin 3/16 thick rubber and put it between the mounts and the door jam ..Thanks for your help

There u go, you got the idea now, autozone (and similar) sells "make your own gasket) usually 1/8 rubber is sold along side other materials.
