Not sure if this has been discussed, could not find a thread about it. So here's the deal. When I turn the heat on in my Exp the drivers side vents (panel and floorboard) blow out cool air but the passenger side blows out warm. I have tried running it on auto and non auto and does not make a difference. I suspect that a vent door is not opening/closing for the driver side vents. Any advice would be fantastic.

PS. this has dual controls (driver & passenger) for the HVAC.

I posted a thread in the 3rd gen section on replacing heater Blend Door Actuator. Not sure how similar the second gen is though. If you have dual zone you will have a heater Blend Door actuator for both sides, sounds like ones stuck and needs replacement.

I agree, but cannot find anything on how to replace the driver side blend door.

Yes, but I think that is for the passenger side. Unless I missed him say driver side blend door.

The driver side Blend Door is going to be in there and looks the exact same so I'd pull the dash out and find it, won't be hard. Replacement will be the same procedure as the one shown here.

I would rather not pull the dashboard until I can figure out where the driver side blend door actuator is located first. I will not give up, I know some one out there knows the location.

Look on the bottom of the HVAC box. Pull the center console out to see it. The upper and lower actuators are the same part number, they're just flipped. Good luck.

Driver's side is item #4 in this diagram ..... item #1 is the actuator for the passenger side...

Thank you Mike, last thing I wanted to do is starting pull stuff to find it. Also the center console removal looks pretty easy. Hopefully I can get my fat fingers in there to finish the job.

So what became of this. I have located noisy motor to drivers motor. What is the procedure for replacement? Doesn't look good.
