wife and i found this house a few months ago, we really wanted to get it but things just didnt time out, owner called us today with an offer we really cant refuse, so ill be backing out of much more progress on my truck for a bit till we get into this and get the garage up, we are approved for the home loan and enough to put a 40 x 60 garage out back, little tight getting to where the garage will be, but it will be o.k for what i want it for, here are a few pics, hope admins dont mind this thread, but this is what my wifes been saying had to come before i put any more into truck,I think its worth the delay in truck mods, do you?

That's a really nice house.... but really, a 40x60 garage? Yikes, that's huge! A friend of the family has a 40x60 shop that's about 2½ storeys... but, then again, he built his to house a big rig + trailer.

Either way, congratulations on the new purchase. :)

That's fantastic, great house. Nice shop size, the bigger the better, as long as you can afford it. Check out www.garagejournal.com for shop/garage ideas.

reason for big garage, is i will be running a fab area, along with a few bays with a 4 post lift, and also putting in a paint room, wanted to be sure there was gonna be room, and its not much more expense than the 40x48 i wanted originally, ALSO chrmar 40 X 60 really is not that big and as for parking semis in that in comparison the average van trailer is 53 foot long, so thats just a walking area around trailer in a 60 foot garage, and the average truck is about an additional 16 to 20 foot, that would mean you would have to back in trailer disconect truck and park truck beside trailer, that would take up nearly 1/3 of the floor space, so 40x60 in perception seems to be a big garage, but by the time i get it set up the way i want, actual floor space will not be that big, paint room alone will be 20X20, then the fabrication area, work areas, bays, and god knows how much junks going to end up in there, and still allow an area for tube, beams and ather fab materials that would have to be put on racks in the shop, I will prob have to add on at some point, esspecially if i decide to start fabing up off road toys, buggys, truggys, and such,
