Hey everyone! I just picked up my first expedition and love it!

Its a 1997 Black EB. 3" body lift and torsion bar crank, fits 35's. Has long tubes, 3" exhaust and a tune. Also has an electric fan on it. Very clean for its age, I took it in trade for a 1978 bronco I was working on. I think I did alright on the deal!

At the moment, she has some severe piston slap, so I'm pulling the 5.4 and stuffing in a 5.4 PI engine. Should be done this weekend.

couple of questions.

1. Are there any aftermarket valve covers for the 2v heads?
2. What are the common lift methods everyone uses? I see a lot of body lifts.

I'm sure I'll have more, but I look forward to learning about these trucks!

Welcome aboard!! Sounds like we are running similiar setups. I too have the 3 inch Body Lift, and torsion crank with 2 inch rear coil spacers. I have small kids and a wife, so the running boards are still on mine, but I like the look of yours without them.

thanks guys!

KW, where did you get the "gap" guards from? Thats the one thing that I don't like about the body lift.

I had to put gap Guards on mine too. Hides a lot of ugliness under there. Mine are from Performance Accessories. Here's a pic of the day i installed them. Makes abig difference.
