New Expedition owner in New Jersey

Got tired of driving compacts for good milage so I bought my neighbors 2000 Expedition. It's an Eddie Bauer, loaded, rear heat & AC, CD changer, air suspension, full towing package, chrome wheels, new tires, V8, Third row seat, white on tan leather, and only 62,000 miles . I was impresssed with the power, this thing really pulls strong. There are a few things that I want to change or modify but nothing major. the leather on the steering wheel is worn 'd like to find a mint or NOS steering wheel and the grille looks faded, maybe the plating wore off from the weekly trips to the car wash. Probably will just replace with a new stock unit. Otherwise I'll most likely leave it as is. Nice , big , comfortable ride. Best part it was only 4,000.00. which is what Toyota offered him on the new Rav 4 he bought.
I'm sure I'll have questions as I get used to it t's nice to have a place to go where there are experts. Rich

I'm in Toms River right next to Seaside on the shore. I tried to load pictures the other day but they wouldn't take, couldn't put up an avatar either. Not sure what's wrong but I'll try again now. Rich

I'm jealous of all you NJ people... was stationed at McGuire from 03-09 and loved it... now back in wonderful NY and sure do miss seaside and point pleasant especially the charter boats out of point pleasant and even the board walk in seaside...

New Jersey Expedition

Yea my neighbor kept it nice, always serviced and washed. I'm liking it so far. Runs well and rides pretty good for a truck. I'm retired but buy and sell early Corvettes and parts for extra income. I needed something to tow a trailer with and this fills the bill for not a lot of money.
For $50.00 a year they let us drive on the beach on Long Beach Island which is fun and makes fishing easy too.
