I'm in normal mode right now and it is definitely noticeable. Sport - if it got worse, I'd never use.

Since you don't notice it on your Platinum, I'm thinking there must be something wrong with my vehicle.

Mine is a Platinum. Have an appointment with a tire shop today, keeping fingers crossed its just a wheel or tire problem. If those check out, getting this fixed is going to suck.

I think i know what your talking about. Ive experienced this feeling on almost all expys ive driven from 15 up and including my current one. Idk if its the tires or the frame, its less a jitter or specific ride motion, but more the body constantly shakes or shudders on its frame mounts. Am i correct with this assessment? Mines does this too, some days more than others. Also, its way less noticeable as a passenger than a driver. I asked about this before, and the salesman told me it would get better once the tires were worn down. Funny, the 18 nav i tested didnt have this, but all 18 expys ive driven did. Im sure its not the suspensions chsracteristics but nore the components and how the truckwas built itself.

That could be it. Although since my original post I've noticed that it does seem to vary with speed, as in it occurs more reliably when at highway speeds. When at low speeds like in a residential area it seldom does it.

If you are right in your assessment that it's the way the body rides on the frame, am I correct in assuming there is nothing that could be done about it?

Hmm... i can't really tell to be honest. I've only put about 100 miles on it so far. I can feel the "shudder" through the gas pedal mostly. I haven't had a passenger in the car with me since I bought the car on Sunday and only have gone back and forth to work since. So, I have no idea if anyone else in the car can feel it.

Please let me know what you find out at the tire shop. My car sat in the showroom until I bought it. Hopefully it will get better with time???

Was the problem present when you test drove the vehicle before purchase?

Why are you going to a tire shop and not returning the vehicle for repair under the new-vehicle warranty?

Feeling like your going over speed bumps through the pedal?

"Feeling like your going over speed bumps through the pedal?"

Real small ones, yes.

Don't hassle with wheel and tire yet.

The feeling your describing is likely a transmission shudder. This often feels exactly as you describe and is commonly felt in the low rpm range. I do hope I'm wrong though.

I highly recommend you take to dealer and have them monitor the transmission data while you take them on a test drive and it' you behind the wheel to identify when your feeling it.

How consistent and when do you notice it? Fro. A dead stop, while cruising, all the above?

Tire flatspotting?

I notice mine does it if parked for a day or more, 6000 lbs sitting on those tires for any length of time might cause this.

Unless you are feeling the same thing after 20 minutes of driving?

Absolutely not! If that's something you experience you need to address your tire pressures.

Rebalancing made it better for sure but there is still something jiggly going on. Tire shop said factory weights on the passenger's side rear wheel had fallen off. Confirmed presence of new weights. My next step (if I want to keep chasing this wabbit) will be with the dealer to do a deeper dive.

Don't know. When test driving there's so much you're trying to take in with a short amount of time, plus driving on unfamiliar roads, I probably just missed it. Should have taken it home for the weekend prior to buying, but if you have to drive two hours one way to find the vehicle you want, that might not be practical.

Why are you going to a tire shop and not returning the vehicle for repair under the new-vehicle warranty?
Because taking it to a tire shop:
  • They actually do something other than saying "unable to replicate problem" and charge me $140 diagnostic fee
  • I'm out in 40 minutes instead of having to leave the vehicle with them all day
  • During that 40 minutes I can walk to one of several restaurants nearby for lunch; no restaurants within walking distance of dealer
  • I can talk to tech right away if I have questions/etc rather than tech already going home by the time I pick up my car from the dealer
  • No need to wait for a shuttle to take me to work and pick me up again in the afternoon

Do you feel the jiggle on little bumps on smooth roads or on smooth surfaces only?. Is there a difference when you actuallyy hit bumps? How about rippled pavement? You should def make a route by the dealer and make sure you can replicate it because i have a feeling your dealer wont find that unless you are very definitive about what your feelin

Alright after the rebalance I'm calling my problem 70% resolved. There is still some up-and-down shaking/jitters but much better than before. It could be that the tires still aren't perrrrfectly balanced but at this point it might be worth going to the dealer if I want to pursue this further.

Good suggestion on planning a route by the dealer. Yes it definitely flutters/shakes more when hitting a bump or uneven road surface. But it's still there sometimes even on a pretty smooth road. When my son is in his carseat and he's talking his voice will sometimes warble a bit, like HheEeEelLlLlLoOoOo. It was much more frequent before the rebalance but it happened again this morning when I drove him to school.
