Mine does this occasionally... I can’t explain why I find it so annoying either.

Same issue on mine. I have my 10 yr old son trained to fix it when it falls down about once a week. Thinking of maybe adding a piece of velcro or similar.

Velcro is a good idea. I’ve never used that belt and don’t plan on using it much so I may just do it tomorrow.

I've also been thinking velcro, but obv it has to be in a way that doesn't interfere with the belt working. Like a velcro strap that holds it in. 7f7a307499e1273d2e374ab487cc15c1.jpg

I was thinking putting a tiny strip on the handle part just above the buckle. It would take much as the magnet does almost enough of the work.

Aaaaanyway, I stuck a small piece of folded up cardboard (cereal box) in the slot to make it tighter, sticking out part way behind the buckle so you don't see it but it won't get stuck, and it's all good now. Haven't needed to use the belt yet, and it's not a good solution if you use it regularly, but it's good for the moment.

Just ignore him in the profile settings. Plati obviously still has some growing up to do and I'm sure the 3rd gen has zero issues.
Thts correct, it has zero issues

I think the issue is that the "2nd buckle" - the one that the magnet catches - slide just a bit to close to the end buckle. I'm going to try putting something in there to add another 1/2 inch and see if it stays in place. Maybe one of those seat belt clips...

I guess adding another magnet in the upper slot would help, yes. But note in the picture that the lower buckle is still stuck to the magnet. It's the upper one that pulls out of the upper slot and flaps around... there's no magnet up there.

Bingo! I was showing my father in law and he kept coming back to ... stronger magnet ... and while I agree the magnet should be stronger the issue is definitely with the slot.
