Its good to see a Gen4 getting the Truck treatment. I like the look.

My Weekend. I put that SSV skidplate on under the transfer case and found that my Lt Rear Tire was down to 28psi. Topped it off and will watch it. Not signs yet as to where the leak is.

I took the Expedition into the dealer today to get the Hood and Liftgate replaced under corrosion warranty. I should get it back in two days.

Well let’s see, I flushed out heater core and rear heater, installed new heater hoses , started to fill with antifreeze. Had to grind away at mount on timing cover to clearance for the belt(have pulley kit and belt would not go on. Also installed new headlights.

Hey. I need to backflush my heater core - or I may have to replace it.

Did you install those T’s to help with the flush?

Those tees were factory hoses, they split motor/front heater/rear heater. I’ve had no motor for about the last 11/2 years, so everything had been disconnected and replaced, those were the last hoses I needed to fill with coolant.

Drove along the North Fork of the Flathead River to the Canadian border. Made sure didn't set foot in Canada because Border Patrol was watching me like a hawk.

Washed the Beast when I got back

Had an incident on the road with a Turkey who wanted to fight. Was able to talk my way out if it. Invited him over for Thanksgiving. I could have beat the stuffing out of him if I wanted to but its been a long day.

I blew TWO tires today and sat next to my Expedition for 5 hours hanging out with a Park Ranger while we waited for the flatbed. She said it was the first time she's ever seen someone blow 2 tires.

Where was that, how did that happen? Two at same time (obviously I guess, maybe not)? Wtf? Did you have a tire repair kit and a pump? Would love to know the details. AT tires? LT tires? Front back? Were they repairable? Any pictures (of the Ranger)? Did AAA pay for it, or insurance? The Ranger stayed with you the whole time?

that blows!!

That's a real hazard in Wrangell St Elias due to road on old railroad track. They advise bringing 2 spares.

Ran over a 4x6 at 55 MPH that was sitting in the middle of the throughway, caught a little air. VW behind me caught air as well. Everyone behind was hopping over that thing.

DWGNRA in NJ. I hit a pothole I have probably driven over hundreds of times, but I guess it has gotten worse and/or I hit it just right. It obliterated both passenger side tires, so there was no repairing them. I put the spare on the front just to spare that wheel the stress of the trip onto the flatbed with the weight of the engine bearing down on it. Both wheels survived with only cosmetic damage. We have AAA Plus so they covered the tow, but the tire cost came out of my pocket. They were about halfway through their rated treadwear warranty, so I got some prorate credit, but it still ran me $255 installed for the pair. They were Michelin LTX tires.

No pics of the (attractive) Ranger and yes, she stayed there the entire time.

Was she cute?

Yes. :)
