Rear audio control module does not work and is blocking the head unit from playing satilite radio. The 3 and 5 buttons do not respond like they are supposed to too activate the rear audio controls. Has any body run into this problem before. When i unplug the module and plug the data plug back in the module powers up and plays satilite for 5 seconds then shuts down and does this every time.

If you still have the stock head unit, and all other stock radio components, then I would say the problem is either in the head unit or the rear audio control module. I have an 07 EB EL that I removed my rear audio control module from when I upgraded my entire system. I didn't have satellite, but as far as I can tell it was still fully functional when I removed it. I will sell it to you cheap if you want it (and a stock 6 disc CD changer too ;) ).

My car did not come with factory rear DVD so if you have that option, I don't know if my rear audio control module is the same as the one for factory rear DVD.

I had already purchased new from dealer at $200, scrap yards wanted $150 and up. That was not the issue new part does same thing powers off in 5 seconds everytime. Dealer says they will send out to get checked and will cost more than head unit on ebay. Sometimes there are security codes for head units that are removed then reinstalled and it seems previous owner removed head unit at one time. This may be the case but dealers can not help, even emailed ford tech support with no response. I just converted from GM to Ford and this is not a good start. How much for your head unit I have aftermarket DVD so no problem there.

I see these 6 disc changer/MP3 units go for $80-$100 on bay so I will let you have mine for $70+ shipping. I don't know about any security codes for it though, but I can check my manual (I bought my 07 EB EL used).
