Hey everyone - I need some help and guidance:
I'm facing a couple of issues on my 2012 XLT and for some reason I think they're related as they happened at once:
First: Sync Media Streaming is establishing a bluetooth connection with my phone but no sound is coming out of the speakers. I can still control the media from the center console and steering wheel, listen to radio, and talk on the phone via bluetooth all with proper sound, but no Sync Media Streaming Audio.
I tried changing fuses, but that did not fix it.
Second: coincidently my rear media controls console is completely dead. No lights coming out, and I can't seem to control it from my main console either. AUX doesn't seem to be working. Occasionally the rear console buttons lights flash but nothing on the display digital screen. Also tried to change the fuses for that (looks like it's fuse#3 for both Sync and Rear Console) but no fix.
Anyone faced a similar issues? please help!

When did this issue start? Did audio ever work from your phone over Bluetooth? Audio streaming uses a different protocol/mechanism then phone calls in the sync module. Maybe check grounds and connectors at the rear console controls and at the sync module. (2017 XLX) the sync module is under the center console storage unit. If the rear controls are not lighting up, that would seem like a 12v issue?

I don’t understand this statement.

Rear controls for the front dash radio do not get controlled from the front.
What radio package do you have? Did someone replace the original radio in an attempt to upgrade the system?
Do you have “rear entertainment”? That is not standard with XLT, could have been custom ordered or someone added it, if added that could be part of the issue.

More details about your vehicle as built vs what equipment you have now. Run your vin and see if you can figure out how if was built if you are not the original owner or if everything previously worked and just stopped working.
Any other modifications (electronic in nature)?
