I’ll take a ‘slow’ Ferrari over a ‘fast’ Celica or a Datsun any day.
My brother has a Ferrari. I drove it to Little Caesar's to pick up pizza last month. Definitely fast and fun, but I'll take the Expedition or my BMW over it any day when it comes to a road trip.

I have owned 3 Mustangs and 2 Vettes. At almost every other red light, some jackwagon in a pickup or SUV wants to race. My favorite is take off slow and let them make fools of themselves. Chevy pickup drivers... They are the absolute worst. Every time I see one they have to pass or beat you off the line. Take a look around, and take notice of this. There are many wanna be road heroes, Driving Silverados. I was challenged to race a tuned powerstroke F250. The owner, sat at the bar insisting how fast it was. My 93 Vette left it in the dust along with a twenty from his wallet. Power to weight always wins. Remember that.

Yeah these trucks aren’t taking any newer late model 5.0 Mustang. The stock automatic unit is 3.8 seconds to 60 with a good hook up, plus for a few bucks an E-85 tune does wonders on the gen 3 coyote with DI. That modified expy on TFl did a 1/8 mile run and by the end the stock GT was running it down, in the 1/4 mile it would have lost. Power/Weight ratio is always a key.

Well, first that’s at least a 5-10 year old model and secondly of course an expy would be a better highway cruiser.

The point was if you had to choose between a celica or Datsun etc with tons of ‘mods’ or a Ferrari? I’m getting a Ferrari lol

YES what a BLAST! 2017 bone stock I never was on the track, except to make repairs to it in off season. You can't see it in my picture but Expedition is about 3 car lengths ahead of a 1980 corvette (co-worker) at Our companies drag race party, The expert racer I am with a 1.0 reaction time, radio playing and A/C on (I really got chewed by track official for getting water on track it was hot and humid day) and 15.25 in the 1/4 mile track, just wished I would have been able to spool it up, wife not real happy about beating Her baby like that, 3 of the other old school hot rods broke requiring towing home

You're no bro.

And yet you're on here posting what?? So far a bunch of drama.

So that’s a yes.

I’ll make sure to notify you when I buy a 91 Celica so you can feel better about your Datsun.

I challenged a Suzuki Samurai at a stop light once. He beat me off the line while I waited for the auto stop/start to kick in. Then it turned out I had the adaptive cruise control on, so it kept me two car lengths back the whole time.

I raced a hellcat yesterday. I put it in sport mode and blew the doors off him! Of course he didn't know we were racing but still...smoked him! ;)

So serious question. What is the fastest off the line? Something like ‘Excite’ mode or regular mode with TC off?

All I know is sport mode on my expedition "feels" way faster than normal mode. I think excite is the sport version on the lincoln. I don't use sport very often, normal mode still is pretty fast for the land yacht.

Land Barge maybe. The expedition isn’t sleek enough for Yacht status.

The shift points are totally different. Much jumpier and responsive. It’s like you filled the tank with espresso
