Upgraded running boards

I have a 2020 Limited with the FX4 package. The running boards feel cheap, has anyone upgraded from the factory running boards?

I have the hide aways. I HATE THEM. They get stuck halfway unless you constantly keep the dirt out of all the joints. I have the locked up because and 85k truck should not like like crap driving down the road.

I want to bring this topic back up... We also have the stock FX4 running boards and really would like to get rid of them. Can anyone think of a way, without test fitting, to verify if F150 or F250 running boards would bolt up to our mounting studs? Any ideas/thoughts are appreciated on this.

Care to advise how exactly you are getting the dirt out of the critical, lubricated areas? My truck will be on the beach in a few weeks and this is one of my concerns. Thanks!
