My 2019 limited stealth doesnt have a cd player. Do all newer/new expeditions no longer play cd's? Kinda wish they still kept it as well...dumb

Understandable. Most vehicles come without them now. Virtually no one uses them anymore. I had a collection of over 400 CDs and even I moved over to USB. Solid state storage is so cheap now that CD just doesn't make sense.
Understandable.
I just feel like music played from a cd just sounds better than via bluetooth/usb
I knew this before purchase and totally fine not havingbthe "option" to play a cd.2018 was the last year, but no new vehicles have them save 1 or 2. Did you not know this before purchasing? It's right in front, and even ur salesman shoulve told you.

Agreed, however, i didnt use the cd player much. With the b&o, bt music was rele good, but USB music was phenomenal depending on file quality.I knew this before purchase and totally fine not havingbthe "option" to play a cd.I just feel like the music pumped from a CD hits better.
As I posted above, USB can provide equal quality if you rip the CD to USB in a lossless (FLAC, WAV, etc) format.
If you have the media. Of course, the real issue with 8 track is the volume of space a library requires, and with these vehicles that issue is much reduced. You can likely fit dozens of cassettes in the back of even a standard size Expy.8 track sounds so much better than a CD.
Yah it is a feature I miss but SiriusXM is good enough for me.My 2019 limited stealth doesnt have a cd player. Do all newer/new expeditions no longer play cd's? Kinda wish they still kept it as well...dumb
Which proves the point, how many CD's can you fit on a modern USB drive the size of your thumbnail? If you have the media. One of my usb drives has over 3k songs. It's actually so big, our current mazda cx9 can't download and play even half of the songs. Never had that issue with any other older vehicle. I bought another with less space with only 1500 songs and it still can't play all of them, it's very annoying.Which proves the point, how many CD's can you fit on a modern USB drive the size of your thumbnail?
That's weird. I have a 128G Samsung USB on my 2017 F150 with Sync3 with about 11,000 songs and haven't had any issues. Takes a bit of time when you first insert it for the system to index all the files, but after that it's good. One of my usb drives has over 3k songs. Come to think of it, I had the same USB drive in my 2014 Mustang with the older Sync system and it worked great as well.
As for sound quality, I usually end up buying the CD so I can rip it to whatever quality I like.
