Hey we’ve had some hellacious winds recently in TX and now I’m missing parts of my roof rack trim and the piece of my car that is trim that leads to the rack. See picture. It’s a 2021, can someone lead me where to buy replacement pieces?

2023 Roof rails - missing trim pieces?
My 2019 XLT had those trim pieces but my 2020 Platinum does not have them. It seems that somewhere in the 2019 year they stopped putting them on and they have never returned. I would say yes, Ford is cheaping out on it.

Dang! We have been having some crazy wind, thankfully that hasn't happened to mine. My roof shingles on the other hand...

That is insane... we live by the Rockies and so regularly get severe wind days, but never seen anything like this. And I have a giant roof box on sometimes!
As for parts... check on your trim level as some trims have black components up there, others chrome etc.

To me it looks like you need a 1, and a 13. Maybe a 6 and a 2 if the rail support or the moulding retainer took damage.

If you still have the bumper to bumper warranty, it should be covered. I have exactly same situation in June last year and dealership filed warranty claim and then fixed it.

Honestly, the more I think about it, the less this whole thing makes sense. The wind force on your stationary vehicle was 82mph. I regularly drive faster than that on the highway... into headwinds, so cumulatively well over 100mph .
Can't figure out how 82mph gusts ripped half your roof rail off.

Vehicles are designed for those winds to come from the front. Not the sides or from the rear. Last spring we had wind strong enough to bend metal fence poles and topple brick walls around here.

Yuck. Hopefully wasn't too many. Ever since that hailstorm in 2017 (I think?) blew a couple of fist-sized holes through my roof and blew out all the front windows, I have a hard time sleeping when a storm blows in and the wind really picks up. This time it only temporarily broke the back fence gate latch.
Fighter jets regularly go well over mach 1, but if you pull back on the stick too hard at speed you'll rip the wings right off.

I hear ya, we had a treetop level F1 tornado pass right over the house. Twisted the tops of our trees off and dropped them in the back yard. The noise was insane and I have never felt so out of control of my situation. I was a new dad at the time and it hit me hard. The realization that this was just a tiny one and thinking of the folks who have their entire house ripped apart around them in these things is pretty terrifying. I grew up in Florida and thunderstorms were every day affairs, but here I can't sleep if there's one going on outside anymore.

Something must have hit it. Think about the sustained wind speed on that part while you're driving on the highway. In the end it doesn't really matter, but FWIW I doubt is was just wind that did that.
At least it was just wind did on mine. Service writer asked me the same question, but he didn't find any hit mark around the roof molding area. And then he agreed it was just wind.
