My expedition was in a minor fender bender in February in some snow and the main damage was in the lower front and center. I finally got it back from the body shop and if you let it run for about 5 minutes, the oil pressure light comes on and the check engine light. It is also accompanied by engine knocking. If I turn the vehicle off, and back on, everything is back to normal for another 5-10 minutes. My husband changed the oil, oil filter, and the oil pressure sensor but none of that helped. I have four kids and I am desperate to get back in my expedition! Any ideas on what it may be?

The vehicle must be scanned to determine what trouble code(s) are set. This will point you in the direction for repair.

Was any mechanical damage done in the crash? Was any mechanical repairs done as part of the body repair?

I would return the vehicle to the repair shop if the noise began when you picked it up. The shop may have to have a mechanical evaluation done, if they only do body work.

Do not drive a vehicle with an engine knocking sound and a low oil pressure waring. Have it towed to the shop.
