Was the lack of a limited slip differential a reason for anyone's decision to get a 2024? That definitely factored into my decision to get one of the remaining 24s over a 25, as driving in snow and low-traction environment is a use case I'll have. I would say the 25 is "better" in every other objective measure, aesthetics aside. The differential is a pretty big mechanical downgrade.

What is the reason for this? I hadn’t heard about it. Going to a soft locker using the brakes?

Odd reason to pick a ‘24 over a ‘25. All other factors considered. The F-150 went to the electric version using ABS back in what 2011? It works pretty good actually

I’m actually surprised a mechanical LS was even offered as long as it was. Since 2006 when the RSC came out, ABS has played a major role in traction control and power management.

Are you sure the 18-24 had a mechanical LS?

Gen 4 had option for eLSD. Gen 5 is non limited slip only.

Yeah, it is the reason we don't currently have an Expedition in the driveway, that and the steering wheel. The ELSD was BY FAR one of the best rear diff's on the market. Wish I had one in my 150 with the option to pin lock it. It's ability in weather like snow to throw torque where needed is noticeable. Ford's decision not to include or option it was shortsighted. The Tremor has the ELD like the F150's.

I thought on the 2025s only the Expedition Tremor has the eLSD. But Loki sez it got the ELD?
I guess my 24 Expy is going to be a keeper just because of the eLSD.
that's the nail in the coffin for me as well... that and no physical headlight switch SMH.

First I was a little sceptical until I drove one with eLSD. Immediately loved having it (got mine in December) and for me a must have and can be a dealbreaker now.
