Change oil every 3000 if you’re using the semi synthetic Ford oil every 5000 if you’re using the straight synthetic. Otherwise you’ll be buying turbos somewhere between 60 and 100,000 miles.

I'm at 90k on my 2020 Expedition Max and I've sent samples from every oil change off to Blackstone Labs to be analyzed. I always run Mobile1 Extended Protection. The first oil change was around 6k miles with the factory oil. Analysis came back good and was told I could extend the oil change interval. Running Mobile1, I added about 1k miles to the subsequent oil change intervals, and even at 10k service intervals, the reports come back the oil could go longer. I'm under warranty (I have a Ford ESP warranty to 125k) so I won't go over 10k miles, and usually try and change it around 8k because oil changes are cheap insurance. My vehicle is driven pretty easy, very little towing, few short trips, etc., so I have no problem going 8-10k between oil changes. Rarely will the oil change indicator want to change the oil before 10k, once it was in the single digit percentage around 8k. Even that instance the oil analysis came back fine. I suppose time will tell if that's a good strategy as I'm planning on owning the vehicle quite a while.
Here in AZ where it’s 500 degrees you won’t go 10k. lol

i'm a 3000 mile oil change guy myself, but i have taken all my vehicles to 5000 because I forget to watch where the mileage is. Oil is cheap compared to an engine repair. My wife's 2017 Explorer with a non-turbo 3.5L let's me know about 500 miles for 3,000 it's getting close to oil change time. (And the service oil change sticker by the garage is always just 3000 miles between changes. ) :)

You are fortunate to not have any Trans issues. My 2019 experienced a Trans issue at 46k just recently. Had Ford Protect warranty which covered a tear down and replacement of CDF DRUM and other components. I drive very conservatively. So at this time I might say consider yourself, lucky!

My brother had a 2019 with the same 10 speed. No problem either. Now I am having the 24 and my brother a 25. So far so good.

Research amsoil and lab results. Penzoil makes something really good, too!

Sorry, I’ve heard bad things about Mobil1.

I use amsoil signature series. 7500 - 8500 mile interval. I plan on just changing the oil filter at ~8000 miles and taking it to 15k with lab testing at the end of it for normal driving. If I’m about to tow a TT, I like to change the oil before that.

Also, use an oil catch can. It captures a lot of sludge in the PCV; ~2oz each interval.

I'm sure it comes as a shock to many; but, at Ford as with most automotive companies, the service intervals have become the purview of the marketing department, NOT the product Engineers. The marketing guys like to tout "total cost of ownership", which usually has a time/mileage horizon of 2 years/30,000 miles. There are lots of videos on the web of Ford and other manufacturers' engines showing the differences between 10K oil changes and 5K oil changes on high mileage engines.

Another peeve of mine is the spark plug change intervals. I change my compressed engines at 45K or earlier. I just changed them on my '22 F150 at 42K, much smoother at idle, much smoother starts, I should have changed them earlier.

For what it's worth I have a 2014 F150 with the gen 1 3.5 Ecoboost. I change my own oil when the oil life monitor says to change it with Motocraft oil and filter. The truck just turned over 200K miles with multiple cross country trips towing heavy trailers. It has had one rear main seal leak repaired, and other than that has never been cracked open. Original turbos as well as no catch can and no hole drilled in the CAC.

I'm still getting 18 MPG average and it still pulls strong.

I just changed my oil and filter with Mobil 1 and a Motorcraft filter. The 5qt jug said I was good for 20,000 miles, lol. So, I can see why some may get confused. With that said, I change my oil and filter every 5,000 miles using full synthetic.
A lot depends on driving habits and demographics. It's good to change the oil more frequently, because of the heat, sand and dust here in Tampa Bay. I change my air filter more frequently as well. It's cheap maintenance that helps increase the life of the engine.

I have the extended warranty with free oil change and rotation, etc. If you go by the computer it will have you at 10,000 miles or more for an oil change. My service manager told me that won't hurt anything, but he recommended 7,000 miles because that's better for rotating the tires to keep them running smooth. I'll probably go around 5K this time because I've done a bunch of towing.

Imma do a oil change on my 2019 myself. Does the drain plug/bolt have a washer that should be replaced too?

You may want to look into an oil sump pump/extractor. Since I do my own oil changes, I was tired of removing the shroud every time.
So, I invested in an oil sump pump/extractor. Now I just drive up on my ramps, suck the oil out, change the filter and refill. I tested it the first time and removed the shroud and pulled the plug. Only a drip came out. And even if there was a 1/4 qt left, it won't matter as much as I change my oil. There are several to choose from at various prices, from around $40 to $100. I went with a 6.5-liter model.

Wow, contact Guinness, 200K on Gen 1 OEM phasers must be some kind of record, regardless of oil change interval. No cold start rattle? What are the rest of us doing wrong?

Yup,
The only thing I've done is replaced two electronic throttle bodies, had a rear main seal replaced and driven it. I did do a coolant flush and transmission service at 100k and it's on its 3rd set of plugs. Original changed at 86k first replacement set replaced at 180k, no cold start rattle.
Still using original everything else.

Some of the stuff it drags around from time to time LOL, although the Tremor is going to assume some towing duties.
