So after not having the abs front left wheel speed sensor in I finally replaced it.

Now the jerking I was feeling at 1,200rpms is gone but another problem came up.

When I brake and get it down to 5mph the brakes will start jerking very hard & not even stop unless I press it down hard.

Any suggestions?

It could be the rear ABS sensor. I had one go bad on my 99 F150. I wold get that jerking feeling just before it stopped.

It happens right before I stop but in the front.

I'm thinking of just pulling that new abs speed sensor I just put in, but i'd hate to see that abs light.

When I drive in snow and ice, I unplug one of the plug-ins for the ABS (usually the front passenger since its easy to get to). It disables the system, but sets off the light. Maybe you could unplug one to make sure its ABS system, or possibly get rid of the problem all together. For the light, I have been thinking of disabling the ABS and just pulling the bulb out of the dash.

I was thinking about doing that but I just bought the dang cord. I also was told that without ABS your brakes get run down a lot quicker. It broke so much better without the ABS, uggghhhhh...

Before when I didn't have it plugged in I would get the 1,200rpm missfire but now thats gone.

I dunno which trade off sounds better....

1.) Pull ABS for 1,200 misfire, keep ABS light on, & eat brakes away.

or

2.) Keep ABS but can't brake worth a s**t.

Maybe I should start a poll, haha...
