Hi all, I’m looking to replace the stock cd changer on my 07 exp. I’ve been out of the audio world for many years. I’m looking into a double din that’ll work with car play.
If I change the stock radio will I loose the built in over head DVD player audio?
Do I need a dash kit?
Will I retain...
Update!!
I’d figured I’d update this post since it may help others with same or similar issues. About two weeks ago the blower completely stopped working and i had no heat coming from the front of the truck. I checked the wiring and fuses but it all looked good so I went on amazon and got a...
I’ll see if I can take some time and just replace the blower motor. I mean it works most of the time and sometimes when it doesn’t start right up, it works after I kick it lol.
As far as the clicking sound... thanks to whoever pointed out the blend actuator. I saw a video and it’s not hard to...
My wife’s expedition has been having issues when starting up and the heat or ac won’t engage. This doesn’t happen all the time but when it does happen I get a call or text from her ******** about it.
Now when this has happened to me I just simply smack or kick the bottom of the plastic box...
Is there a fix that doesn’t involve many thousands to fix this? We are thinking of upgrading the truck but not for another year or two since other than this it’s been a great truck. Sure I’ve had to replace a couple of parts but it’s an 11 year old truck that’s exposed to CT’s crappy roads and salt.
^ better?
Yeah I have friends with really good scanners. I have one also but I don’t believe it has the capability of reading abs codes. I’ll reach out to one of them and go from there.
Thanks for all the info
Will anything show up on their scanner even though no abs lights are displayed on the dash?
I can probably rule out the brakes, rotors and calipers since they are fairly new.
Brake fluid is topped off
Miles are around 137k
Services done this year; all 4 calipers, front brake line and ac condenser due to leaking power steering fluid.
It had no dash lights when I test drove it yesterday. These symptoms happened to me once while I was driving maybe a year ago but went...
Wife complained that while driving out of work on dry pavement at approximately the abs light started to illuminate randomly. She also said that the brakes were pulsating when this happened and truck started to slow down. She pulled aside and eased on home with no other issues. I believe she...
Sorry for the thread revival but I like to search first and then ask questions.
What exactly was replaced here? I have the same symptoms on my truck and cannot figure out where it’s coming from. I did remove the plastic cover and noticed that the leak is definitely coming from the passenger top...
FYI, my friend came down with a mitty vac and helped me replaced the front right brake hose. As he was unscrewing it from the main line the damn thing was bubbling therefore it had air in the lines. He used the vac to suck out all of the air on that line and so far knock on wood truck wasn’t...
Here is a quick easy way to see which wheel is sticking. Jack the front end of the truck up. Start the engine and try to spin the front wheels by hand. If both are sticking check the brakes or the front wheel drive 4X4 assembly. I believe the hubs are vacuum assist to engage the 4WD. It's also...
Negative, I have not replaced any hoses nor flushed the fluid. I’ve owned the truck for about 6 years or so but I’m guessing these hoses are the originals.
As far as the e-brakes I haven’t used them for a few days but when I did the rear calipers just 2 days ago I was able to remove the rotors...
