Looking back at our specific case, before the fault we replaced the brakes at Kal Tire and they might've unplugged it for the job and not fully plugged it back in. After a while of driving, the plug likely shifted loose and threw the code. When pushed back in, the code instantly disappears.
Did...
Don't know if it's different on the 2025, but my previous 2020 you can just yank it right off. Just be careful, but quick about it. Of course do it at your own risk, as I don't know about the parts availability on the 25's if one of the clips break, something to keep in mind.
Here is the thread: https://www.expeditionforum.com/threads/diesel-tap-tap-tap-on-idle.55549/
It actually happened twice for me, here is a second clip of it from the interior with windows down. This is after the short 10 mins drive and while idling semi-warm...
From that 2 sec. clip, it sounded exactly like (used to be ours) 2020 Expedition. For my case, the one time I caught it happening was actually when it was semi-warm, idling after a short drive (10 mins). I think I posted a thread with a clip of it too, will have to find it.
Wow, such an amazing invention of Ford, but they're already thinking about cutting that feature to save 15 bucks.
These subscriptions are truly nuts! And that's why we're all impressed that Ford still offers Ford Pass for free! I believe they're the very few, but I don't really know any other...
It's a 2018, but they still go for really high prices around here considering it's 6 y/o vehicle
And it guzzles premium fuel. The most annoying part is the Land Cruiser exist that runs on regular, but Canada doesn't get those!!! I would have gone for the LC. Better styling imo, and regular fuel...
For me, I don't personally mind the extra dust relative to the extra performance you get out of these pads and rotors. It is more dusty compared to OEM brakes, especially if you pay attention to your wheels a lot, but tbh I don't, so I just enjoy the extra bite and durability of these Powerstops :)
First of all, I want to say a HUGE thanks to all of the members of this great community. Without you, I would have already given up on our Expy about 3 years ago when the magical phaser debacle started happening and the dealer refused, stating it was normal. At that point, I would have likely...
Weirdly, I feel the same too with my 2020 but mine was updated back in April/May. Don't know if it's due to cooler ambient temperatures as winter comes, but will keep an eye on the trans temp gauge to see.
They covered the physical running boards, but not the motors and hinges?! On the brochure for PremiumCare they listed under electrical "POWER Running Boards"
Since they specifically put the word "Power" in it, I would argue that they HAVE to cover the powered part (i.e. motors) as well! If...
Wow, my running boards are also showing symptoms and at 3k CAD PER SIDE, that's insane. Sunroof rattles and tranny occasionally clunks.
What dealer did you get this deal (Canada or US) and when? I sent a request to Petrie Ford, the only dealer to have a seperate website+email for ESP in Canada...
I can hear the whistle and the the blow-off valve, even with the windows up. It's just subtle enough to notice when music isn't playing and I LUV IT! Just the pano sunroof rattles that destroy the experience...
Interesting! Does it mean that aftermarket transmission only tunes would eliminate rough shifts completely and therefore not require CDF drum replacement if done early enough (in my case at 60,000km)?
