"Park Brake Fault | Service Now" Solved

Looking back at our specific case, before the fault we replaced the brakes at Kal Tire and they might've unplugged it for the job and not fully plugged it back in. After a while of driving, the plug likely shifted loose and threw the code. When pushed back in, the code instantly disappears. Did...

    Is this a feasible idea?

Don't know if it's different on the 2025, but my previous 2020 you can just yank it right off. Just be careful, but quick about it. Of course do it at your own risk, as I don't know about the parts availability on the 25's if one of the clips break, something to keep in mind.

    Noises

The 3.5 EB does make lots of noises! A video clip of the noise would certainly help some folks on here identify

Is this sound waste gate rattle?

Here is the thread: https://www.expeditionforum.com/threads/diesel-tap-tap-tap-on-idle.55549/ It actually happened twice for me, here is a second clip of it from the interior with windows down. This is after the short 10 mins drive and while idling semi-warm...

Is this sound waste gate rattle?

From that 2 sec. clip, it sounded exactly like (used to be ours) 2020 Expedition. For my case, the one time I caught it happening was actually when it was semi-warm, idling after a short drive (10 mins). I think I posted a thread with a clip of it too, will have to find it.

Parting ways with our 20Expy, but not expyforum.com just yet! (Ownership Experience Recap)

Wow, such an amazing invention of Ford, but they're already thinking about cutting that feature to save 15 bucks. These subscriptions are truly nuts! And that's why we're all impressed that Ford still offers Ford Pass for free! I believe they're the very few, but I don't really know any other...

It's a 2018, but they still go for really high prices around here considering it's 6 y/o vehicle And it guzzles premium fuel. The most annoying part is the Land Cruiser exist that runs on regular, but Canada doesn't get those!!! I would have gone for the LC. Better styling imo, and regular fuel...

Wow, that's a lot of patience that you got there! I would have never had the patience to give the car another chance. How are you liking the Sequoia?

For me, I don't personally mind the extra dust relative to the extra performance you get out of these pads and rotors. It is more dusty compared to OEM brakes, especially if you pay attention to your wheels a lot, but tbh I don't, so I just enjoy the extra bite and durability of these Powerstops :)

First of all, I want to say a HUGE thanks to all of the members of this great community. Without you, I would have already given up on our Expy about 3 years ago when the magical phaser debacle started happening and the dealer refused, stating it was normal. At that point, I would have likely...

Did Ford update the transmission control algorithm recently?

Weirdly, I feel the same too with my 2020 but mine was updated back in April/May. Don't know if it's due to cooler ambient temperatures as winter comes, but will keep an eye on the trans temp gauge to see.

Has anyone had a smooth shifting 10 speed? Do they all do the occasional clunk?

They covered the physical running boards, but not the motors and hinges?! On the brochure for PremiumCare they listed under electrical "POWER Running Boards" Since they specifically put the word "Power" in it, I would argue that they HAVE to cover the powered part (i.e. motors) as well! If...

Has anyone had a smooth shifting 10 speed? Do they all do the occasional clunk?

Wow, my running boards are also showing symptoms and at 3k CAD PER SIDE, that's insane. Sunroof rattles and tranny occasionally clunks. What dealer did you get this deal (Canada or US) and when? I sent a request to Petrie Ford, the only dealer to have a seperate website+email for ESP in Canada...

    I can hear my turbo!

I can hear the whistle and the the blow-off valve, even with the windows up. It's just subtle enough to notice when music isn't playing and I LUV IT! Just the pano sunroof rattles that destroy the experience...

    TSB 23-2250 - 2018-2023 Expedition/Navigator + Other Models - 10R80 Auto Trans + Others - Harsh/Delayed Engagement And/Or Harsh/Delayed Shift

Interesting! Does it mean that aftermarket transmission only tunes would eliminate rough shifts completely and therefore not require CDF drum replacement if done early enough (in my case at 60,000km)?

    TSB 23-2250 - 2018-2023 Expedition/Navigator + Other Models - 10R80 Auto Trans + Others - Harsh/Delayed Engagement And/Or Harsh/Delayed Shift

Oh gawd, the service advisor even said, "Ford and the dealership will consider the records of past claims and problems to REDUCE the cost of repairs when your warranty expires." after I mentioned that my warranty is going to expire by the end of the year lol. Should I buy the ESP and if I do...

    TSB 23-2250 - 2018-2023 Expedition/Navigator + Other Models - 10R80 Auto Trans + Others - Harsh/Delayed Engagement And/Or Harsh/Delayed Shift

My 2020 was brought in 2 times already. The first time, they did the reprogram which is according to the TSB, but after a couple months, I had to bring it in again. They did the reprogram AGAIN and took no further action. I believe according to the TSB, if the first reprogram didn't work, they...

Those who have Extended Service Plans (ESP)

Anyone know if ESP coverage bought from a US dealer like Lombard, Flood, etc... will cover for my local dealers up here in Canada, or do I have to shop around from Canadian dealers only? I heard Lombard, Flood... (and some other dealers I don't remember) offer the best deals?

    Red Light Runner Crash

Yea, that small overlap was BRUTAL. The way the A-pillar just sheared off was unacceptable. I also don't get why the F150s did so much better? If Ford purposely cheaped out on the Expys, I think this deserves a lot more attention on the forum.

"Park Brake Fault | Service Now" Solved

Update: Played around underneath our Expy today. Culprit: loose wire connection Found the driver side wire a slightly looser than the left. Gave it a slight push at the upper connecting point and heard a very silent click. When I turned the engine on, the codes still popped up, but after apply...

"Park Brake Fault | Service Now" Solved

Today, our 2020 Plat. Max popped up 2 codes. The first code was "Park Brake Limited Function | Service Required". When the engine was cycled, the second code changed to "Park Brake Fault | Service Now" with a yellow icon on the dash (images below). Whenever the car is shut off or when I apply...

2019 CDF Drum replacement…didn’t fix issue

Is it getting any better? My 2020 Max Plat too, had the software reprogram done and for the first 100-200 km, the shifts were buttery smooth and insanely quick. Now at 1000 km later, it's clunking back to before the reprogram and getting worse by the day. Idk what's up man! Is it right that you...

Cam Phaser replacement after Jan 1 2023?

Does this still apply today, or did the program expire? If I run out of powertrain warranty time wise, but still within the extended mileage coverage wise, will Ford still cover part of the costs? Mileage Ford Will Cover Up to 69,999 100% 70,000 – 79,999 66% 80,000 – 89,999 33% 90,000 or higher...

Diesel tap, tap, tap on idle

UPDATE: Sorry guys, but I have decided NOT to do it after discovering about the $170 CAD diagnostics fee (since I ran out of base B2B warranty) because it's really rare to get it to tap and I figured it would be a waste of money if they just let the engine cool down and start it once and if it...

Diesel tap, tap, tap on idle

Our powertrain warranty ends in less than a year, but phasers were done about 2 years ago and the rebuild program supposedly covers 100% of the work up until 100,000 km. It only occasionally (quite rare actually) taps at idle and doesn't bother me much. My question is should I leave it till...
