Yes i saw the motor spin and the bendix did come out. when i put the ground back on the starter i made sure to clean the ground. no i dont know how to do a voltage drop test.
i will check the power from cable to starter first, i checked the power when cranked on the solenoid and had received power on the starter side but if i get power at starter then im going to give it a go tomorrow and try to pull the starter off and check it. ill bring it to get tested at one of...
i had the same problem and my solution was i cut the two heater core hoses and fitted a double male brass adapter to the hoses, porceeded to pour CLR down the pipes with water. Let sit for 5 mins or so and slowly flushed out everything poured water down the used air compresser to blow the junk...
Yesterday my 1999 expedition 5.4L quit in the road and was making some weird noises, before it died it started to jump forward then stall a little then do it again. the gauges went dead and the radio cut out. a sound from the bottom of the motor yelled a loud skreech.

I have a 1999 ford expedition 5.4l and the cooler lines right above the tie rod are leaking. does anyone know of a diagram so I can get the parts numbers? one of the brackets broke causing the lines to rub on the tire rod as you turn back and forth. tried to fix it but thought best option was to...
that's ok, im in it because I like the truck. until the body falls off ill keep it running to the best of my ability (thickness of wallet) haha have had the thing for at least 10 years and haven't had any major repairs so far so we'll so how it goes.

I used a cut off wheel to cut stuck bolts most came off easy. was a little difficult lining up the axle with the arms, I used new bolts as I figured replacing the arms mind as well replace the bolts. make sure to use grade 8 bolts.
no I didn't sadly, I wasn't apart of this forum a month ago. they were very easy tho only spent $40 on metal. when it gets back from the shop ill take a pic of them.

I will check the line as soon as it gets back from the shop. had it brought to a shop because me and my dad could not figure out what the problem was with the rear blower.
whats the cost for a used 5.4? can you buy a new 5.4? how about buying a 5.4 from a 2002 and put it in your 98? I was looking in doing the same as I have that header leak in the back on the passenger side. what stuff did you buy from autozone to seal the leak?
