Just disconnecting one will disable the system and force them to max pressure/settings. They are very stiff at this stage, stiffer than sport.
I prefer sport setting myself, but my wife likes the softer normal mode.
What tire pressure are you running and what tires? How many miles on it? One sure fire way to force the shocks into their stiffest setting is to unplug one, but that will make your dash light up like a Christmas tree.
These are probably the closest i have found to oem, at least on my fusion. Higher quality over monroe or Gabriel. Normally rockauto has motorcraft for not much more than kyb.
Would not expect you to have any problems pulling a boat of that weight/size, even with 2wd. Depending on your gear ratio, it may be a little shift happy (ie 3.31 vs 3.73), but just drive smart. Unless you are using some really steep ramps covered in slim, should be fine pulling in/out. I...
Yes. They replaced the transmission output seal twice if I remember right, along with opening up the transfer case guessing that to be the source. After having it towed back they finally replaced the transmission.
Went thru the same headache back over the summer. Finally puked fluid all over the interstate. Finally got a rebuilt transmission installed via warranty and so far no more leaks.
Off-road Research has a device that is supposed to allow non-CCD shocks to be used. This is supposed to work for up to 2021, even though listing only goes to 2020. Pricey for what it is, not aware of anyone actually trying it yet...
Depending on year, sounds like Off-Road Research may have a solution. Someone from there posted on this thread https://www.expeditionforum.com/threads/ccd-delete-or-testing.43716/page-3 that one of these https://www.orrsrch.com/product-page/orrsrch-raptor-gen2-did-damper-interface-device should...
Should the DID19-FRE or DID21-FR be used on 2021 Ford Expeditions originally equipped with the CCD strut assemblies? Website lists 2018-2020 for the DID19-FRE, and DID21-FR for the 2021 model year, however I do not see any modules along the frame rail on either the driver or passenger side. I...
I would love to figure it out as well. In doing some searching, appears some of the F150's have the ability to adjust weight values in the VDM module that change the dampening characteristics. Came across this post...
