Correct. As-built can be pulled from ford with a VIN, and is specific to the vehicle as it came off the line. I am adding aN oem trailer brake controller to my 2012 expy. It was not an option until 2013+, 2012 and back were aftermarket only. I wired in the oem tbc to the appropriate connections...- Caymran

Going To Attempt Installation of iTBC in A 2011 Expy
Any updates? I’ve wired a 2014 tbc into my 2012. See the tbc in forscan (only when I Tell it to use 2014 mykey). Made some adjustments to my IC as built and reset DTCs. No issues.. however, no gain control on dash. Trailer sway is listed, but I think the 2012 already had that. I’m not getting...- Caymran

2012 OEM TBC Trailer Brake Controller
Mine came off of a 2014 expy that was wrecked with parts for sale on ebay. Junk yard, etc would be a place to look. If I can get this working, I'll do a writeup with part #s. My concern is finding the correct wiring harness connector (or splice), and reprogramming the computer to enable.- Caymran
