Thanks Smoooride for the reply. I see commonly on these threads on the 1st generation issues like blend doors, heater cores, AC/HEat not blowing hot or cold and sometimes not out of right location, COPS going bad, starters being subjected to a lot of corrosion due to placement.
Do the '03's...
Currently have an '00 Expy EB, 4x4 w'/ 176k miles. Runs very good. However, I am considering one with lesser miles. Came across an '03 w/ 118k miles that appears to be well maintained for a very good price.
In looking at the specs of both looks like th '03 was raised from 6900 towing...
Thanks for all the replies. Went to a few local yards today and finally found one that had the switch. $45 later, popped mine out in their lot and put theirs in and good to go. Advance Auto wanted about $110 for a new one. The used one is just fine:D
Any idea how to remove the black cover. I have a small slot in the bottom of it and I have tried sticking a small flathead in there to release it but all it does is tilt and I can't get it to unhook or pop off the dash. The dial does not come off since you have to pull it up for the fog lights...
Just tried the Expy headlight dial. The only thing that illuminates on the dash is the fog lamp indicator when I turn those on. Other than that the dial nor do the markings for headlights, parking lights, auto postion or off position light. How do you access the bulb. Do you remove the black...
Thanks. As I type this I almost remember mine being lit to. However, I normally keep mine on the auto setting. If you put yours on auto does the dial still light up b/c mine does not. I'll have to check if I just have it turned to the headlight postion if it lights up then. Interesting?
'00 Expedition EB and since I bought used a few months ago was wondering if these items are illuminated when the lights are on at night. Mine obviously do not.
1) Seat Memory
2) Side mirror adjuster
3) Dial on dash to turn on low beams and parking lights
Thanks
Where is the actuator located. Driver side door? I have the same issue as OP. Takes 2-3 times of unlock and lock to get all the doors unlocked. The worst one is passenger rear. I just disabled the autolock feature to at least keep it from locking up all the time when driving.
