When I had a bad (worn pretty bad) upper ball joint on an S10 Blazer it would pop at low speed when turning the steering wheel - and I could feel it in the streering wheel.
When I had bad u-joints in the front of the 1990 F150 4WD I could hear it when backing up/moving forward at low speed and...
My oldest son finally bought a house. They started moving Friday evening and we took the Expedition over Saturday and Sunday to help move stuff he didn't want to chance with the movers.
On Saturday it was just bags/boxes of dishes, glasses, wine, liquor, and paintings/art work. Laid the seats...
We bought a 2014 EL July of 2019. Only one key. Bought some ebay keys and had the cut and programmed at a local shop. We had battery issues one time - don't remember the battery brand. That would have been in August or September of 2019.
New batteries, right? We all know NEW batteries are...
I have a Chevy Silverado like that. No where near the miles but a few days/weeks after fixing one thing, something else pops up.
Example - 3 weeks ago a brake shoe retaining spring broke on the left rear. Bought a brake hardware kit and brakes shoes and fixed it.
Drove it out of state, came...
We were away from the house for about 8 hrs.
Ate breakfast at Chick fil a, stopped at a nice Mexican food restaurant a few miles from home on the way back.
Four of with coffee, cinnamon chewing gum (really wakes me up if I get drowsy). Me, my wife, her mom and her sister.
I took my Kindle...
I took a bottle of the Turtle Wax ceramic wash/wax stuff home back in the fall for a visit with my mom. Her Trail Blazer was sitting in the driveway and it was a rainy Saturday. I grabbed a bucket, sponge/rag and the Turtle Wax and headed out into the rain.
It was pretty dirty/nasty and I...
Haven/t used that brand but I've used some of the other "new" spray on, wipe off or even spray on and rinse off paint protectants.
Way easier on my arms/shoulders to use and I've noticed on the next wash the car comes clean (bugs, tar, dirt) so much easier/faster than with regular wax.
I look at the forum here just about every day, most days twice a day.
I try to look at the issues people are having with their older Expeditions as mine is a (used with 80,000 miles on it when I bought it) an older one, too, a 2014. I figure, maybe one day, mine might have a similar issue and...
Must be a steep driveway. The road in front of my parent's house is uphill and I've parked in front of their house for years - without using the parking brake - with multiple cars, trucks, SUVs and never had one slide on the packed snow/ice.
We never used the parking brakes because sometimes...
Tires can make all the difference in the world. And chains make even more/better for snow/ice. Then there is the effects of the car/truck power/torque to drive wheel weight and the driver, too.
I've been places in a Chevy Vega (2.3, 1 barrel carb, 4 spd. manual, with chains on it) that 4WD...
I bought a used 2014 Expedition in June/July of 2019. The battery had been replaced 3 or 4 months before I bought it.
Yeah, sometimes you have to wiggle the alligator clips around on the posts/terminals to get them to bite through the oxidation/crud to make a good connection or the battery...
I've had a couple bearing issues over the years (not in a Ford).
One one it was the inboard bearing on the driver's side. I'd hear the rear end howl when I pushed the pedal down. The worn bearing allowed the pinion gear to push the ring gear further to the left which changed the spacing...
Well, isn't the Expedition on a basically 1/2 ton PU frame? While the Excursion is on a 3/4 ton PU frame?
I know one of my uncles had two Excursions. One with the 6.0 diesel (which he got tired of staying in the shop all the time so he sold it) and one with the V10, which he still has.
Not...
