Power running board is shot
Link to my you tube vid on a 2010 EL. Short & long wheel base are the same. I have no idea why the extruded screen bushings where there or if OEM. No doubt it is the same part from China. IMO, if you have a store where people can pick up, come to your desk, or throw parts through your window, you tend to stop selling bad parts. For $15 more, 3 month return, & they told me it fits, I'll risk it. I Just wish it was 3 winter months lol...- David1

Yeah motor is removed. Trying to determine if the same motor is used on 119" & 131" wheelbase and best place to buy. Most sites list not compatible with EL yet SOME ebay drop down list say they are ? I found the dimensions are the same & bc EL's are rare they don't know, so willing to try...- David1

I removed the motor but I can't get a good answer if the same motor is used on both the 119" & 131" WB exp. 9L7Z16A507A is the number easily found. Power running board is shot
My step was +90% closed and the wedge was frozen in place, at first. I hit the bolt head a few times with a hammer and it did not move until it dropped out by itself. The you tube vids mention not to the move the wedge bc it is difficult to reinstall ?? I believe it must be removed or have room...- David1

Auto-Up feature not working
I forget if Ford had it but when changing the Battery on my '99ML and I think '06SRX. You had to run the window down with the switch then hold the up switch past up or a few seconds after the window was full up. The module then knew it reached it's limit. Only takes a minute to try- David1

2011 Remote Start
The antenna plugs into the modual. If I remember correctly it was the only thing that plug in ? so I would assume it needs to be there. The range is 50- 75' ? try it sitting inside the truck. If it works but not further away you know you need the antenna, if it doesn't work you are still 50/50...- David1

What is the purpose of the flip-up tailgate window?
Mine is a 2010, has defrost, and the struts hold it open while driving back from HD. I would assume the 4th gen is the same. Ford cant legally say leave it open- David1

Possibly debris squished between back of rotor and hub face ? It would stay there everytime unless wire brushed. I have same truck with 150K. I don't have that problem but did have one bad upper control arm (you replaced) and one inner tie rod.- David1

May have been mentioned, sorry I'm not reading 4 pages, it Allows packing the vehicle full. Load the luggage, rifle cases, and the coolers last. Close the tailgate then open the window. There now is an easy 12" gap for beach chairs bottles boots pillows all the odd stuff. Now nothing moves while...- David1

2011 Remote Start
Not sure what you mean by inserting the key. Try changing just the door setting. Be sure the hood, all doors and windows are closed, no interior lights on.- David1
