    No doubt it is the same part from China. IMO, if you have a store where people can pick up, come to your desk, or throw parts through your window, you tend to stop selling bad parts. For $15 more, 3 month return, & they told me it fits, I'll risk it. I Just wish it was 3 winter months lol...

    My step was +90% closed and the wedge was frozen in place, at first. I hit the bolt head a few times with a hammer and it did not move until it dropped out by itself. The you tube vids mention not to the move the wedge bc it is difficult to reinstall ?? I believe it must be removed or have room...

    I forget if Ford had it but when changing the Battery on my '99ML and I think '06SRX. You had to run the window down with the switch then hold the up switch past up or a few seconds after the window was full up. The module then knew it reached it's limit. Only takes a minute to try

    The antenna plugs into the modual. If I remember correctly it was the only thing that plug in ? so I would assume it needs to be there. The range is 50- 75' ? try it sitting inside the truck. If it works but not further away you know you need the antenna, if it doesn't work you are still 50/50...

    What is the purpose of the flip-up tailgate window?

    Mine is a 2010, has defrost, and the struts hold it open while driving back from HD. I would assume the 4th gen is the same. Ford cant legally say leave it open
