Problem with rock auto is sometimes the shipping puts it over the cost at the local stores anyhow. Sometimes you just need it now. They both have their places.
Hey everyone. On my 05 KR the previous owner did away with the air suspension and just put the springs and struts in. The current set is shot so I’m looking to replace them. At this point can I just get a set of the Duralast or kyb pre assembled strut assemblies from auto zone or do I have to do...
Just out of curiosity, would the 5.4 from my 2005 expedition be a direct replacement for a 5.4 in a 2004 f150?
My expedition is needing a lot more things done then I care to do and I came across a 2004 f150 needing a motor. A pickup would serve me a lot better than an sub at this time.
What...
Had to replace the clutch on my compressor after I bought my daily driver as it was shorted out. After replacement I notice that while the vehicle sits still the air is barely cool. If you get moving it is ice cold. Where should I be looking for an issue? We had a pickup at work do this and it...
Well hell. I guess on the old one the spacers were both on the front side. Never thought to put one on the back side. any idea what the air gap should be?
Bought an 05 in the middle of winter and kept blowing the ac/4wd fuse. Disconnected ac clutch and never blew fuse again. Changed the clutch coil clutch and pulley yesterday. Everything went on good until it came to the clutch I face. It acted like it didn’t go an as far as the old one. So much...
For anyone who wants to know the outcome. Like stated before I replaced the iwe solenoid with the Dorman. And after that still had no indicator light not would the iwe’s unlock. Pulled vacuum on the wheel ends individually then together and found them to be in good working order. Never crossed...
Thanks John. I guess after I get my exhaust manifold finished up and connect the battery I’ll start checking for power. I guess worse case I’ll run a jumper wire into the cab and wire a switch to lock and unlock the front hubs♂️
Alright I replaced my solenoid with the doorman from autozone. Still no indicator light and front hubs locked in while running. So I pulled vacuum on the lines as a whole and I can unlock the hubs and hold vacuum, so the vacuum side appears to be good. My next step will be checking for voltage...
Ok since I’m new to Ford’s and this system it sounds like this failed solenoid is causing the front hubs to remain locked? That would explain the poor mileage and slight noise while slowing down I suppose. So on rock auto I see a 4wd actuator valve I’m guessing that’s what I need? And is it one...
