How to put it back
Snap on the connector
snap into place
Modification complete!
Now I admit sometimes the lights come on when I'm in the shade on a not-so-bright day, but when that happens, the dash is still easily viewable.
I used one 20# white, unprinted "hole" -...
Drop the hole in the cap, and then drop the circut board on top of the upside-down cap (so the hole doesn't fall out)
Pliers can snap the board back into place
Slide the pins carefully back into the holes on the other plastic piece
How it looks right before they snap together...
Here is the tricky part - as you can see, I've SERIOUSLY bent the plastic out of the way to get the circuit board to release... Unfortunately, I see no other easy way to do this, so proceed with caution. If it breaks, I think it can still be assembled fairly easily because the wires could hold...
The inside slides out... (needs just a little force on the "dome" to release
Closeup disassembled
I removed the "dome" so have something to push on (later). Can be removed with a smaller flathead screwdriver on the one side...
This may work on other Ford trucks... please let me know if you have a similar setup.
I have always had the complaint that the automatic headlights don't turn on early enough... it has to be downright dark for them to turn on - probably 30-60 minutes after when I would like them on.

Brake pads, rotors, and finally resolution
Interesting experience with my '03 Expy...
I've been complaining about the brake dust and squeaking brakes since we got the truck 2 years ago... at 15,000 miles they "inspected" everything and said we had 60% of the OEM pads left, and the squeaking...
I do this all the time, but I found that specific manufacturers blank DVDs work better than others... Also, the player doesn't like DVD+Rs as much as DVD-Rs... the DVD-R format is slightly "more" compatable than the +R format... and forget +RW and -RW...
Even then, occasionally it gives the...
Ran through a 1" puddle yesterday on the passenger's side... LOUD metal scraping sound afterwards! So... get it towed to the dealer and gave them the following list:
1. Metal scraping - undrivable now... looks like the passenger rear tire "drags" a bit.
2. Driver's rear taillight has 1" of...
Buttons are disabled when the doors are closed. Safety feature.
I do wish it was faster (and one-touch as I already said) but it's definitely a neat feature!!!
Now, if only I had a power liftgate. :)
I'll have to check, but I think the specifications did not list wireless headphones, although that was an option later in the year. If the specs have wireless listed, I'll definitely pursue it!
Heh... actually, it is - that is a friend's remote. I have not been able to program two rolling-code type remotes on homelink - whenever I program the second, it wipes out the first. Non rolling-code multiple-programs work.
I did the legal limit here in KY for the front - 35%. Left the rear stock. I should have put on 20%, but didn't want to run the chances of getting a ticket. It does help the heat, though:
I've got botht he climate seats and the power-fold third row. I LOVE the climate seats - I'm always hot in the summer, and love the cooled seats. (My wife doesn't like the cooled seats, but loves the heated seats!)
As for the power-fold third row, thankfully that isn't an issue in mine...
