Just bought a 99 EB Expo with 151k, it's over 152k now but previous owner said no major issues prior, had to replace the dpfe sensor and fix the evac vacuum line that melted against the egr tube. Runs like a champ.
I did mine this past week on my 99. The center sleeve was rusted in place and had to cut the top half out using a cut off wheel. As noted by the original poster, it's best to install both loosely before tightening the bolts. Once one is tightened, the other side wont have enough room to install...
I believe that is right for most models. I read somewhere that ford had a kit for sale you could get and cut it in yourself, sorry don't remember where I saw that.
