Wife and I bought for her an '17 Expy EL previous rental that only had one key. I bought two more on Ebay after reading feedback. I knew I want to enable the trailer brake controller so I bought the

@mquick5
I did keep trying and posted that I got the second key to work but don't see that post. :(
Here is what I did. I tried like a dozen times. Finally, the door locks cycled and I press the lock button while still in the ignition.
The button worked; the remote start worked. Then...
My understanding is "If the Remote start option shows up in the FORscan menu, it is on the vehicle. Unless you have the 'As Built' programming entries for that vehicle the options have to show up in the 'Plane English' version of FORscan.
I hope this helps.
Since I had my mechanic working on this I let him order the parts from Ford. Ford supplies the resister and control unit as wa on teh ATC equipped vehicles. That looks to be another component Ford installs from a higher package vehicle even thuogh a cheeper part would work. I am guessing...
Thanks for the m'quick response....
Yes I tried cycling ON-OFF eight times based on your previous post. The first few times there was a double door lock or something like that I figured I was in the programming mode for the buttons, but none of them ever worked.
So I tried to program and set up REMOTE START on my 2017 Expedition EL XLT.
The remote tart feature did appear in the menu items in plain English in FORscan. The Remote Start parking light option was not there.
I first added the 2 new remote start keys using the FORD procedure. Both keys...
Does anyone know if the number of keys is limited on the 2017 Expedition?
I realize this is a mature thread but my question is related to this topic so I will start here rather than start a new thread. '
My keys have been cut, I have the listing for REMOTE START in ForScan and was ready to...
I have a similar problem. Front blower worked intermittently then quit altogether. one of terminals was burned; the plastic housing showed some melting. My mechanic replaced the Blower and speed controller aka resister. It worked for a week. We live in the desert so it runs at full speed most...
My experience towing an 8600# TT with my '17 Expedition XLT EL:
I specifically searched for the 3.73 Axle (and 4x4 EL) even though the 3.31 also gives a lower overall 1st gear ratio than my 2500 HD GMC Sierra with 4.10 gears. The Expedition was the ONLY late model with enough tow capacity...
I thought the Orange wire on Left wheel well might be the correct one for the 12v power but could not locate it in the fuse/relay box.
Do you have the fuse/relay location?
You can install and connect any standard 7-pin adapter. The brake wire (on my '17 EL, anyway) was a foot or so from the existing 4-pin in that wiring harness on the driver's side.
You will also want to add a fused charging line. I could not find that one in the existing harness.
