Update: This gremlin still eludes me. 2 shops, 4 starters, starter relay, new battery and an ignition switch later and no fix. I have a 2010 with HD tow. There is already a plug for the brake controller. Buy a Prodigy brake controller your self, very easy. Sun roof leaking
$40 for a Sunroof repair kit and $45 for a sunroof gasket and a couple of days of your time and it'll be fixed. It's a pain to take the head-liner down and do the job, but not terribly hard. The problem is I can't reliably recreate the issue. So if it happens and I go to test a relay it may start again and the issue is not happening for a few days.- Fasttimes

Yeah, cleaned terminals. I'll have to figure out my next move. I would like to change out the key cylinder to remove that from the list but not sure if I want to try or let a dealer do it.- Fasttimes

Ugh, issue just happened again. Turn the key, nothing, turn off, turn the key, nothing, turn off. Turn the key, starter grinds, turn off, turn the key, starts up. 4 more tries, starts each time. Could be any of the before mentioned issues I guess. Corroded cable. Starter Relays. Anti-theft. Or...- Fasttimes

I replaced the ignition starter part. Simple job, $38 for the Motorcraft original and about 20 min of my time. Been down with the flu so I haven't been driving much but I did 8 start/stops and drove it one day to work and so far no problems. I'm hoping that was the problem, but jury is out till...- Fasttimes

Yes, you can do your best to make your non-HD truck into an HD truck. A good WDH would be required no matter what. The Class IV hitch should be fine. Add the 7 pin connector. Add the aux oil/trans cooler. Upgrade to an HD radiator. Add new HD springs all around. Add a Prodigy brake...- Fasttimes

As Jason said, that's too much trailer for that truck. You'll be over the limit in all kinds of areas. You just got the trailer? What kind of trailer is 31 feet and 5600 dry? What is the tongue weight?- Fasttimes

So my Expy has started an issue where all a sudden you turn the key and nothing, no partial crank, nothing. I almost got stuck at a gas station on a road trip, trailer in tow until after 20 tries is just starts. Local shop claimed stater even though there was no progression of starting...- Fasttimes

Tires for Towing Travel Trailer
I have the Defender LTXs for 2 sets now and they have been great for towing my trailer. I keep them at 35psi for normal use and increase to 42psi for towing. I've been very happy with them. Wear seems good, and they stiffen up just fine when max aired for the tow days.- Fasttimes

Travel trailer overall length with '21 Limited
I should add that I'm riding a Gen 3 Expy, not a 4. In my case it was multiple upgrades to make my towing the best it could be. Including the things I mentioned, I also added new coil-over springs/shocks, new tires, new plugs, and cleaned throttle body which all attributed to gains for my older...- Fasttimes
