I currently have a single 18" tc9 based sub. Freshly built no box yet. Plans with be 8 cuz ft 4th order after displacements. According to winisd it will play from 23hz through 72hz with authority. Sub will be ran off an old school mm4k. Just need to repair the output section.
The front stage...
These look Ok. Don't think I'd pay $350 for them though. I really don't like the cloth over the speakers. I'll try and find a picture I saved from a guy who was selling a pair of door panels. I really liked how he did his.
Since none has replied, make sure all your connections are good and tight. Wiring behind the radio and the wires connected to the speakers. While your at it, when you remove the front speakers look over the speakers to make sure there not the problem. Try another good know speaker while there...
I know this is really old but finally figured out my problem. The wiring behind the fuse was coming out from the back of the fuse panel. Pushed the wire in and the fuse back in, everything works perfect!!
What's the specs on your box? Is it custom built or prefab? 2 15's should be louder but its all about the box and the vehicle. That's why I like my truck so much, its loud no matter what! :)
Yeah I hear you. I never use my 3rd row but its nice to have just in case. What I have now is not loud enough for me. I'll take pics of the current setup tomorrow. I'm not sure but I kinda really want to do a 4th order box with a few hundred watts of power or 6 15's. Not sure yet.
This was my old setup. I never got metered so I cant say for sure how loud it was. Im sure it was very close to a 150dbs with a crappy box that wasnt built right. I had 2 custom built 18's 4 c&d batteries in the back I ran an american bass 200.1 @ .5 ohms until it blew for no reason :( after...
Freeway I will get some pics uploaded into my photo album for you. There is a couple in there now but not much. Custom built subs me
Well said captain! I couldn't agree more myself.
When I had my 2 18's I had subs up port back. It sounded great but is louder with subs and port facing back. If your planning on being loud with subs facing up do sound mind of sound deadenjng on the roof. Its loud when it flexes and slaps against the braces.
