Mine is 2018 expedition doing the same thing. It has 77k mikes on it. None of the controls are responsive when it occurs, but if I kill the engine, open the door, and then restart the engine, it works fine. If anyone has more details on how to fix the issue, I would be very grateful! It’s hot out!
Ours had the cat converter replaced around 20k miles and an O2 replaced immediately after that. I’m inclined to think that a bad O2 sensor caused the cat failure due to wrong fuel/air mixture ratios.
Littlejohn, from where to where did you route your cables? I have an Exeltech SI 2000 watt inverter on the way. I intend to make an overland / daily driver with ours.
I say its a shallow, insignificant, means of measure. Character and fruit of labor speak much louder about such things. A good tree bares good fruit and a bad tree bares nothing or bad fruit.
Mine is going in for the two cam phaser replacement soon. Already had all 4 shocks replaced, popping mirrors when changing saved seat position rescanned, O2 sensor, and catalytic converter replaced.
