Popping Noise From Rear A/C Blower '03 Expo
I've given up on replacing the hot/cold motor. I move it to cold in the summer, hot in the winter, and leave it unplugged in between.- Jeckler

What did you do to the expy today
Remove and clean the battery and cables. I use baking soda and water to clean along with a brass brush. Try not to get too much inside if your battery isn't sealed. Rinse with plenty of plain water. Easy to get to and change, but I broke off the little nub that holds the inner door handle on as I was putting it back together. loud noise on startup intermittently?
As it's starting, or a few seconds later? Mine does the few seconds later thing, make the whole truck shudder. It's the AC clutch. It only does it once a day and goes away after maybe 2 seconds. Believe it or not, I read somewhere that it's normal.- Jeckler

Check backup aid?
My '03 had one outer sensor missing when I bought it. I replaced it, but now the system goes nuts when put in to reverse. One of the sensors is held in with bailing wire (seriously) because no one sells the parts for it anymore. The fact that the bumper itself is a little "wrinkly" isn't helping...- Jeckler

On my '03, one sensor was missing and the other pretty much fell apart when I tried to un-clip the connector. I ordered 2 replacements off of eBay and installed them. Not today, or even this week, but I recently went over all the plastic trim on the outside with a heavy coat of peanut oil. They look pretty much new. Stupid question?
We use the passenger footwell, middle seat footwell, 3rd seat footwell and behind the 3rd row for any number of random things, trash included. Even under the 2nd row is not immune. Why did you choose an Expedition over Yukon/Tahoe/Suburban?
Like others, we chose our '03 for the IRS and fold flat 3rd row. I don't care for the styling of the 1st gens and the ride is harsher. We had looked at Suburban's, Tahoe's and even a Dodge Durango, but kept coming back to the Ford.- Jeckler

Horn not working - how to remove cover?
On my '03, there are two plastic covers on the front (front means front of car) of the steering wheel. Then two nuts are removed and the airbag lifts off the wheel. Which do you prefer for 2nd Row? : 40/20/40 or buckets?
4th option? Obtain or build a different center console, and cover it in matching leather? You could get creative here, maybe with a fridge, or subwoofer. Shifts to neutral instead of 2nd????
Ummm, isn't the transmissions in these 4-speeds w/overdrive? If this happened at 70mph on the freeway, I doubt you were in 2nd gear. If you were cruising, it should've been in OD. Do it again and this time turn off overdrive and see if it shifts correctly to 3rd with the selector in D.- Jeckler
