Confused on motor year
They put two different 4.6 liters in those years. One is a "ROMEO" which is designated by a "W" in your VIN NUMBER, and the other is a "WINDSOR" which is designated by a "6" in your VIN. Engine code is the 8th digit in the VIN.- Jiggers

Camshaft Upgrade
I am new to this site and was wondering if anyone has ever installed a set of "RV" or performance camshafts in their Expedition 5.4 liter 2v. 99 Expy Broken Coolant Nipple
I think Ford just specifies it as "adapter" in the description. It really does nothing at all accept position that coolant hose off to the side a little. Like I said, if you can find a straight nipple to fit the hose and screw into the intake properly that would work fine also. Get back to you...- Jiggers

That should be an easy find from a walk-thru salvage yard. If not have your Ford Parts guy pull it up on his computer and point to it, I think they are only 25 bucks or so new. Can you access the IAT reading with your scan tool?(intake air temp) It is may be part of the MAF sensor or in-line in the intake tube , and if not reading correctly can cause the pcm to lean the fuel trims out causing your issue.
