I've got some really bad rust as well. Just found out from the mechanic who was looking at the brakes. All the body shops are booked for the next month and I'm moving at the end of next week and I'm planning on towing a trailer. Not a good situation.
I don't know what would actually happen if...
Thanks. I have an '03 EB that came with P265/70 R17.
If my research is correct, if I wanted to go to an 18" wheel, I'd want to use a P275/60 R18?
And would a Chevy 6-lug wheel fit?
Sure would be cool if there was some doc on tires and wheels.
I've got an opportunity to buy a set of tires and wheels that came from an '06 f150 xlt for a great price. Tires are 255/70-17.
Any issues using these?
I had a security camera that did this same thing. Some component in the camera itself gives out when powered up over about a minute. Clears up when unplugged, then degrades when the power is returned. This sometimes happens when exposed to freezing temps.
I had an off-brand camera that...
ummmm...oookaay.
So the owner's manual is totally wrong on this?
Either way, you are correct Big White. It was a done deal before I even got to it.
So now how would you replace the entire mirror assembly? I'll bet that you have to remove the door panels and get at it from there.
Thanks for the info.
I tried to open the one mirror - removed the one screw - and the assembly wouldn't come down. I also see that the plastic has broken underneath. So I go to the other mirror which has a bad bulb as well. That one won't come down either. It's kinda loose so I give it some...
'03 EB puddle lamp bulbs and whack job on the mirrors
Anyone know what bulb size is used for the puddle lamps? The manual doesn't even acknowledge their existence and I'd rather not have to remove the assembly twice if I don't have to.
Thanks in advance!
Crutchfield recommends that 12V to 5V regulator when purchasing your unit (on-line), so for anyone replacing their unit, be sure to get one. I'm getting a new JVC that is coming in today. Unfortunately, they are back-ordered for this regulator and the radio will have to sit there until this...
Thanks all for the warm welcome!
I'll certainly be flushing the brake lines in the next service. They are working well right now. Actually I may end up replacing the calipers, as rusted as they are.
I've put in a K&N air filter, and I just found that the power plug for the trailer hitch has one...
For the first time in my life I have the need for an SUV. This is my first, as well as my first Ford.
I found a great deal for this '03 Expedition and fell in love with it.
It has 162K miles on it, but the body is in good shape. Getting it home I narrowly avoided a speeding ticket because it...
