Bilstein shocks don't fit
See if you can find old 2003-2010 4 runner struts or if you can get the spring perches off bilstein 2418401, which is a shock for a toyota 4-runner or its bigger brother, the strut perch fits the 24-197717 for the expedition.- limamike

Want to update everyone on this, as its been one of those things that bothered me over the weekend. So after atleast a dozen calls to Bilstein, Moog, Ford, and a number of other OEM shops, no one sells the spring perch. Bilstein, of all places gave me the weakest of all excuses.. Bilstein Lower Spring Seat 2007 Expedition
I started to replace some KYB shocks on my EXPY. The Bilstein shock doesnt fit the lower spring seat. In other words, the Bilstein is narrower. Someone on this board had a similar problem back in 2010 and no one replied. I suspect that we are not the only two with the same problem :-). Any...- limamike
